Emily Miner

Vice President, Advisory Services

Emily Miner is the Vice President of Advisory Services at LRN. She counsels executive leadership teams on how to actively shape and manage their ethical culture through deep quantitative and qualitative understanding and engagement. A skilled facilitator, Emily emphasizes co-creative, bottom-up, and data-driven approaches to foster ethical behavior and inform program strategy. Emily has led engagements with organizations in the healthcare, technology, manufacturing, energy, professional services, and education industries. Emily co-leads LRN’s ongoing flagship research on E&C program effectiveness and is a thought leader in the areas of organizational culture, leadership, and E&C program impact. Prior to joining LRN, Emily applied her behavioral science expertise in the environmental sustainability sector, working with non-profits and several New England municipalities; facilitated earth science research in academia; and contributed to drafting and advancing international climate policy goals. Emily has a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida with a degree in Anthropology.

Adam Balfour

Vice President and General Counsel for Corporate Compliance and Latin America

Adam Balfour is on a mission to help make ethics and compliance more relatable and relevant for his fellow human beings. He likes to design ethics and compliance programs that employees can actually relate to, engage with, and find useful. Originally from Scotland, Adam worked for a number of years as an attorney for two international law firms in New York before moving to Nashville, Tennessee to work for Bridgestone, where he currently works as Vice President and General Counsel for Corporate Compliance. He is an active member in the ethics and compliance community, is a co-editor of the Compliance and Ethics: Ideas & Answers newsletter together with Joe Murphy, Jeff Kaplan and Rebecca Walker, and is CCEP certified.  His first book, Ethics & Compliance For Humans, was published by CCI Press in September 2023.

Felipe Maldonado Garcia

Director of Compliance Programs

Felipe Maldonado Garcia is the Director, Compliance Programs at Salesforce, working with the company’s Office of Global Ethics & Integrity. In such role, Felipe oversees the programmatic aspects of the company’s Ethics & Integrity program, operating at a global scale. That includes areas like the management of Compliance training and communications, gifts and entertainment, conflicts of interest, and Compliance Analytics. He also chairs the Company's Outside Business Activity Committee. Currently based out of South Florida, Mr. Garcia joined Salesforce in October 2022. Prior to that, Mr. Garcia spent 4+ years at Stericycle, where he worked on implementing a Compliance Program in response to a FCPA investigation, and before that he spent 8 years at Oracle, working with Investigations. Mr. Garcia holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering‚ as well as certifications as a Certified Fraud Examiner and as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional.

Krista Muszak

Sr. Manager, Regional Process & Optimization

Krista Muszak is Senior Manager overseeing Pfizer’s global post-acquisition M&A activities as well as focusing on improving and optimizing processes within the compliance framework. Krista’s compliance experience spans multiple industries and multiple areas of expertise, overseeing compliance with M&A, SOX controls, and Enterprise Risk Management. Her career toolkit includes audit, anti-corruption, policy creation and implementation, as well as being a frequent presenter at international, national, and regional conferences. Outside of work, Krista enjoys SCUBA diving, running, water sports and karaoke.
